NUFC Board Official Appointment

We've been hearing lately that Chairman Chris Mort has been making some appointments in the executive ranks to assist current boss Kevin Keegan in the restructuring of the Tyneside Fortress.

Why I'm saying this, is because our current chairman are planning things well ahead for the future of St.James Park.

Appointments made recently:-
Dennis Wise as Executive Director (Football)
Tony Jimenez as Vice President (Player Recruitment)
Jeff Vetere as Technical Coordinator

Take note this appointments could be a value in the future especially with Jeff Vetere coming in with his experience working with a club like Real Madrid!

Hopefully all this appointments will be fruitful to the first team which solely taken charge by our current boss Kevin Keegan.

Red Again At The Emirates

Having lost twice to Arsenal in a matter of 4 days is already a disappointment.
Having lost twice to the same opponent with the same scoreline ...... well ......

Newcastle lost again yesterday night with goals coming from Adebayor (40min), Flamini (72min) and Fabregas (80min) simply killed the game off as the Magpies has gone 3 games without scoring a single goal.

The Magpies need to recharge their confidence as they faced a tricky encounter this coming Sunday against rivals Middlesbrough.

All in all the lads did quite well though both the scorelines against Arsenal are quite harsh results.

By Sunday, we should have players like Emre and Viduka back but there's a concern for Enrique due to a late injury.

Wise Choice?

Newcastle has been in the headlines recently on the transfer front, which in my opinion is not making significant progress.

One such surprise though has been the recruitment of Leeds boss Dennis Wise.

The former Chelsea player has been recruited as part of Chairman's Chris Mort executive appointment but certainly NOT the Director of Football as reported by some tabloids.

Till now there's no clue on what is the exact appointment of Dennis Wise as the chairman is on business duties and will be back on Wednesday.

We await developments.

Newcastle Sees Red At Emirates

Newcastle United crashed out of the FA Cup losing 3 goals to nil at the Emirates Stadium last Saturday.

2 goals coming from Adebayour and an own goal by Nicky Butt sums up Newcastle's afternoon at the park.

However the defeat was kinda an expected one but what makes me smile is the improvement of play showed by the Magpies which has missing since the start of this season.

The flair and attacking philosophy adopted by the current manager, Kevin Keegan, has made the Toon one of the most favorite team to watch in England.

Though the result seems a bit harsh, the Magpies can continue to play good attacking football with pride.

Hopefully results will start to come in this time around.

Draw Spoils Keegan's Return

Newcastle drew 0-0 with Bolton Wanderers on Saturday as the Magpies captured their first point under new manager Kevin Keegan.

Though a win will be icing on the cake for the new manager, Newcastle first 11 has all looked very depleted due to injuries, suspension and players away for the African Nations Cup.

One thing for sure is that Newcastle is starting to play good attacking football again.

With this, Kevin will be looking on bringing in new players and worked with the current squad as they prepared their match against Arsenal twice in a matter of 4 days.

Saturday will be an EPL match and next tuesday will be a 4th round FA Cup encounter with Arsenal's second string which both matches will be played at the Emirates Stadium.

We all know Kevin will be given time and cash for his squad rebuilding and let's hope for good times ahead.

KIng Kev Returns

That's right.

The messiah of Tyneside has returned to bring Newcastle for a second spell and hopefully bring back the glory days.

The King, as well might call it, signed a 3.5 year deal and was officially announced as manager which came to a big surprise for many.

The former Man City and England manager was spotted sitting alongside chairman Chris Mort, owner Mike Ashley and Sir Bobby Robson.

His official unveiling as a Newcastle manager will be on this Friday.

NUFC In A Mess Right Now

Newcastle are seriously in the mess right now.

With the FA Cup replay against Stoke City, the managerless club seems to nbe in total disarray.
"Here we go again" is what the Toon army is saying as the board are looking at potential candidates suitable for the NUFC hotseat.

Owner Mike Ashley is said to have touchdown on Tyne to step up the next manager for Newcastle together with chairman Chris Mort.

The pair has sighted several possibilities like Gus Huddink, Loius Van Gaal, Mark Hughes, Gerrard Houllier, Kevin Keegan, Jose Morinhno and Martin Jol among others.

However, legend skipper Alan Shearer won't be in the running as news leaked out the board will be looking for an experienced manager this time around.

The buzz is on Tyneside and all over the world at the time .......
Let's see who will be the next NUFC manager......

Horror Show At The Theater Of Dreams

Newcastle displayed one of the worst displays in the Premier league this season.

Managerless, no sense of direction, clueless ...... these are some of the thing that I saw in the current Newcastle side last night.

Trounced 6 - 0 was very embarrassing for the Toon army, inclusive of myself.

We hope the board would make swift approach to install the stability needed for this misdirected squad.

Big Sam Dismiss.....

It's been the talk the town...... the new owner and chairman called for a fresh change on Tyneside.

Yes ... Big Sam gets the chop.

I did not want to sound to harsh but the Magpies have been perform badly as late and things are not getting better on and off ( Joey Barton's case) the pitch.

Though the country or even the world footballing community might feel view us as the laughing stock by changing and changing of managers........ things could get even worse which we never know.

With the decision made, it's up to Mike Ashley and Chris Mort now to find a new replacement.

In the meantime, first team coach Nigel Pearson takes over as caretaker....
Wish them the best of luck for their next match against Man Utd.

Magpies Draw Blank With Stoke

Yup 0 - 0, that's the score line ........

It was not an easy entry for the Magpies who were unable to finish of minnows Stoke City.

With that .....here' s to what happen......

Where do we go from here......

Big Sam Under Big Pressure

Newcastle lost at home recently to Man City by 2 goals to nil.

The Magpies has lost their third game at home in a row and it's getting tougher for the gaffer as they prepared their FA Cup tie against high flying Stoke City.

As a fan, it is something quite unbearable seeing your favorite team losing and losing and losing.

The stakes are indeed high high against Stoke and it could be curtains for Big Sam if they were to crashed out of this one.

Let's hope for a Magpies win.
I can't bear for another defeat.

Sven Full Support To Magpies Gaffer

Sven made a post comment stating Big Sam is still the man right man to take Newcastle to better days.

The Swede, who shock everyone by taking Newcastle's opponents tomorrow Man City to 5th at present , states the Big Sam should be given more time to turn Newcastle's fortunes around.

Though we might think otherwise, Sven did not need much time to change Man City's route to better league position.

Hopefully there's a light to what Sven's says or it out the door for the Big gaffer.

Happy New Year!

It's the time where I wish my visitors a happy and prosperous new year in this year 2008.

As much I would wish to thank everyone for their support and visit to this site.. I also hope 2008 will be a good year for my beloved club Newcastle Utd FC.

Hopefully this year, the Magpies can stay clear of the wrong reasons and go back to winning ways and glory which the fans hugely deserved.

Thank You again from me ... Izzy Rocks .....
