Spiderman Is Magpies First Summer Signing

Newcastle has snapped Argentinian star, Jonas Gutierrez at an undisclosed fee and became Newcastle's first summer signing this new season.

The news came to a shock to all Newcastle fans, myself included, as the 25 year old was not even linked to the Magpies before.

It is definitely a good job by the management in getting things done at a very low profile indeed.

Jonas Gutierrez is a right sided midfield player who has capped 49 times for Argentina.
He signed for Real Mallorca in 2005 from Velez Sarsfield, where he won the title, making 97 appearances for the Argentine club before signing for the Balearic Islands outfit, where he made 95 appearances and scoring five goals.

We expect more "Shocking" new transfers in the futures done and we will seem to like this new one as much.

Joey Barton Guilty

Newcastle are set to lose another player in Joey Barton.
The player has been sentenced to a 4 months prison sentence and a further 2 years of suspension.

That a heavy blow to Newcastle and the player himself is still undergoing his current 6 months sentence for the McDonalds case while being a Newcastle player.

The black clouds are hovering upon Joey and Newcastle whom have lost so many first team players is set to lose another one under bizarre circumstances.

The club however declined to give further comment on the future of the player and it all doesn't seem too good for the Magpies faithful.

Taylor & Owen Contract Talks Finalized

As you guys know that Kevin Keegan is back in town for the past 2 days or so and things have stat to pick up a bit since his back.

The long and and overdue contract talks of skipper Micheal Owen and Steven Taylor has been finalized by Newcastle though reports is still being undisclosed to what package Newcastle is offering.

This is simply good news as both players have said time and time again that they are committed to the Magpies cause.

I simply things will get even better in the upcoming days and targets for the new summer signing are said to be coming in as early as 1 July (which is next Tuesday :D )

This is going to be ecstatic news as the recruitment board, comprising of Dennis Wise, Tony Jimenez and Jeff Vetere, has been keeping a very low profile on the transfer activities surrounding the club.

Here Comes The Money

Former Walsall boss, Richard Money, has been recruited to head the Academy with the appointment as Academy Director.

The 52-year-old has previously worked with young players at Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest. He was also Coventry's Academy Manager before this appointment being made. Apart from that, Money has working spells in Sweden and Australia.

Prior to his appointment at Newcastle, Money commented "This a fantastic opportunity for me, a really big challenge. I have got a lot of experience of working with young players, so this is a job I am well qualified to do."

The appointment will see a much greater impact on the youth development policy which Newcastle has implemented.

Swindon's Ben Tozer, Hungarian youth international Tamas Kadar, Frenchman Wesley Ngo Baheng and Italian Fabio Zamblera and Swedish goalkeeper Ole Soderberg have since arrived
and the focus will be greater than ever in this club youth policy system.

Mike Ashley Stepping In On Contract Talks

Contract negotiations between current Newcastle players has been super slow and this has been going even before the previous season ended.

To think about it again, Newcastle has actually did a good move pertaining this contract saga by releasing fringe players which are deemed surplus to our club's requirement.

Now with Kevin Keegan back in town, our big owner has decided to step in expediting the rate of speed in contract negotiations among our current players.

With that also, it is reported that the owner will have more hands on approach on the running of this club and I believe this would suit well with King Kev as the recruitment team has been a no-news thing since its eventual setup back then in February 2008 this year.

I'm not saying our recruitment team are a hopeless bunch of fat pay-checks executives; they did scout for good talent but they fail in finalizing the target players to sign for the Magpies (Luka Modric is one very good example).

Anyway things are looking bright although we are set to miss out on Arda Turan and Andrei Arshavin for that matter :( .

Let's see what is coming and I hope it will be something good.

Ameobi Movin Closer To Baggies

Newcastle Utd striker Shola Ameobi has been on intense speculation pertaining his future on Tyneside.

I have to admit, the lad's days on the Magpies are numbered and the big lad has been linked with numerous clubs like Norwich City, Ipswich Town, Hull City and the latest being Premiership newcomers West Brom.

WBA boos, Tony Mowbray, has spent a total of £5.8 million in striking reinforcements already and is ready to splash the cash again on striker Ameobi.

Ameobi who insisted that he will only move on another Premiership side can foresee that the Hawtorns will be a likely destination.

Though the sum of £2.5 million is set to be tabled on the striker is not what Newcastle United would want, I personally believed Shola Ameobi should move on to revitalize his career and get more first team action on his belt.

He's currently under the pecking order behind Micheal Owen, Obafemi Martins, Mark Viduka and young Andy Caroll in the striking role.

Time to move on bro ... and I think he is not really missed by the majority of the Toon Army.

Agent Confirmed Aimar Link

Argentine midfield dynamo Pablo Aimar link to Tyneside has been confirmed by his agent, Gustavo Muscardi.

The skillful midfielder who is expected to leave relegated Spanish outfit Real Zaragoza has also expressed interest in a move to England but till now nothing is yet concrete.

The midfielder who is rated at around £4 million is a bargain buy and would fit to Kevin Keegan's attacking style of play perfectly.

Question : How fast can the deal happen and whether the player can fit perfectly to the robustness of the EPL?

My word is get this player and he is a bargain at £4 million.
Plus his flair will bring attractiveness to the Magpies midfield.
