12 Match Ban For Joey

Newcastle Utd midfielder, Joey Barton, has been sentenced to a 12 match ban.

Joey will be serving a 6 match suspension; a further 6 matches depending on his conduct. This will end by the season 2009/2010. A fine of £25K was also imposed in the sentence.

Joey wasn't accompanied by departed manager Kevin Keegan who had resigned from his post as Newcastle manager.

As seen in the circumstances of the sentence imposed, Joey Barton should a lot to be grateful for ..... a punishment which is not heavy as it was first forseen.

Unfortunately though, he won't be playing under King Kev when he returns and he put on the jersey with pride for whoever he is playing under.
